Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath had a recent meeting. The two leaders met in Lucknow and later had dinner with all the ministers. But a tweet by Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath before the meeting has raised a new discussion. The discussion has created a stir in the politics of UP. There are indications from this discussion that the city of Lucknow, which is known as the capital of Uttar Pradesh and the city of Nawabs, will also be renamed.
Welcoming Prime Minister Modi, CM Yogi wrote in a tweet, “Warm welcome and greetings to you in the holy city of Sheshavatar Lord Shri Laxmanji, Lucknow. Although there is no clear mention of the name change in this tweet, it is being considered as a sign of change.

Actually, the Yogi government has changed the names of many places in Uttar Pradesh and Lucknow is also likely to be renamed. Earlier, the Yogi government had renamed the Naini area as Atal Bihari Vajpayee Nagar, the airport as Pandit Deendayal Upadhyay Airport, and the overbridge as Shyama Prasad Mukherjee. It is clear that even before this Allahabad has become Prayagraj, Faizabad has become Ayodhya. And now the city of Lucknow is also likely to be added to these names.
