Inhumanity does not have any religion. The killing of Kanhaiya Lal can not be justified. No religion allows killing anyone. There is anger against the accused in the whole country for the brutal murder of Kanhaiyalal of Udaipur. However, both the accused Riyaz Ahmed and Ghaus Mohammad are currently in the custody of the police till July 13. They were sent to judicial custody by the Udaipur district session court in Rajasthan.
The NIA has made a big disclosure about Gauss and Riyaz. According to NIA sources, Riyaz and Mohammad Ghaus were making sleeper cells for ISIS in 8 districts of Rajasthan. Both were brainwashing youth in the name of religion in Udaipur, Bhilwara, Ajmer, Rajsamand, Tonk, Bundi, Banswara, and Jodhpur districts.
Both used to make sleeper cells by instigating the poor and unemployed youth. It is feared that these sleeper cells were being built for ISIS. Funding was also done for this from Arab countries. After Karauli, Jodhpur, and Bhilwara, both the accused murdered Kanhaiyalal for inciting riots in Udaipur.
In 2014, both of them went to Karachi, Pakistan with 30 people and took training. Both were accompanied by Wasim Akhtari and Akhtar Raja of Udaipur. He was trained by terrorist organizations in Karachi. After 45 days of training, both returned to India on 1 February 2014 and both were in touch with Dawat-e-Islami and Pakistan’s political party Tehreek-e-Labbaik.
Riyaz and Ghaus Mohammed went to Saudi Arabia in 2014 and 2019 and Nepal in 2017-18 for funding. In Saudi Arabia, he was in constant contact with Salman and Abu Ibrahim, who was associated with the Dawate-e-Islam organization.
The Anti-Terror Squad of Udaipur on Thursday recovered two blood-stained weapons used in the murder of a Hindu shopkeeper, Kanhaiyalal. The weapons were recovered from an office of an aide of both the accused in Udaipur’s Sapetiya locality.
During the interrogation, the accused, Riyaz Akhtari and Ghaus Mohammad told the officials that after killing Kanhiya Lal, they went to Shoaib’s office in Sapetiya and recorded the video. Riyaz and Ghaus told the officials that they shot the video confessing their crime at Shoaib’s office and made it viral on social media. Both the accused also recorded a video from the same office on June 17 in which one of the two men described his intentions of carrying out an act similar to what happened in Udaipur on June 28.
The official added, “Both of them were part of various WhatsApp groups with people from Pakistan and other countries having a radical ideology. The members of these groups were constantly talking about taking revenge after Sharma’s remarks and were planning to do something on a large scale.”
Apart from Mohammad Riyaz and Ghaus Mohammad, three more of his accomplices were involved in this murder. Of these, Mohsin Khan (25 years) and Asif Hussain (24 years) have been arrested by the police, while the search for the third is on.
The crime scene:
According to the police, Mohsin and Asif had taken Riyaz and Gauss to Maldas Street on separate bikes. The two had dropped Riyaz and Gauss at the corner of the street (Hathipol-Moti Chowhatta main road) just 70 meters away from Kanhaiyalal’s tailoring shop. Both were standing starting the same bike and keeping a close eye. During the attack, if someone caught Riyaz and Ghaus or dropped the shutter, both of them were ready to attack with swords and daggers to save or rescue them.
After killing Kanhaiya, Riyaz and Gauss came running waving weapons, and fled towards Silavatwadi on Mohsin and Asif’s bikes. From where Riyaz took his bike number 2611. Bhima along with Gaus left him. Where the police surrounded both of them and arrested them. During interrogation, Riyaz and Gauss revealed the names of Mohsin and Asif.
Asif used to work at the welding shop along with them. Police also found an unclaimed Activa at the spot. It is registered in the name of Ghaus Mohammad. In such a situation, the police are raising the possibility that a fifth accomplice was also present on the spot.
The terrorists knew that there is a constant jam at the Hathipol crossroads. The police are also stationed because of the outpost, so they planned to run through the narrow streets of Silavatwadi. All four reached Silavatwadi in their respective vehicles. Here Riyaz parked his 2611 bike and sat on Mohsin’s bike. Ghaus sat with Asif. Later all four returned here.
From here Riyaz and Gaus reached Sapetia via 2611 bike via New Pulia-Ambavagarh-Fathsagar-UIT Circle-Fatahpura and released the video of the massacre. His plan was to reach Ajmer via Sapetia to Bhima, Bhima to Beawar. Later, the matter of hiding in Kanpur is also coming to the fore.
After these revelations, the SIT-NIA has started linking hard. The interrogation of 7 other suspects who rake Kanhaiyalal is going on, out of which 3 are from Chittorgarh. Search is on for 5 other suspects from Udaipur and Rajsamand. These include the woman who threatened Kanhaiyalal by going to the shop on June 24. According to the information that is coming out in the investigation, the accused of murder was collecting money from the Gauss chit fund. Terror was being funded by luring women with high interest.
The bike story:
Sources said that Riyaz’s bike, RJ 27 AS 2611, was bought by him to remember the terror attack in Mumbai on November 26, 2011. The police team is working on collecting further details of the purchase of the bike and how the accused took the special number. Reportedly, bike number 2611 was taken after depositing an additional Rs 5,000 in 2013. The motive of the accused behind the bike number linked to the date of Mumbai attack will also be investigated.
