After the massive defeat in the Uttar Pradesh Assembly elections in 2022, all is not well in the Samajwadi Party. The party has gone away from power and after this, the enthusiasm of the party leaders and workers is not visible. Moreover, many big leaders in the party are angry with the party leadership and the displeasure of Azam Khan and Shivpal Singh Yadav is well known. In such a situation, now SP President Akhilesh Yadav has forwarded party patriarch Mulayam Singh and said to everyone, ‘I am your Akhilesh, Pitaji take away political troubles from the party’!
Well, on Friday, Mulayam Singh Yadav reached the party office in Lucknow and clearly told the workers that the fight in the Lok Sabha elections is now between the Samajwadi Party and the BJP. For this, the workers have to be ready from now on. Mulayam Singh Yadav tried to fill a lot of enthusiasm among the workers through his words. But the picture is actually something else. And that is that in reality, the revolt is being seen in the state in the SP since the assembly elections.
SP’s MLA from Jaswantnagar and Akhilesh Yadav’s uncle Shivpal Yadav is now openly attacking him and Mulayam Singh Yadav. Whereas Azam Khan, who is lodged in Sitapur jail, is targeting Akhilesh Yadav through his generals. Since then, perhaps, Akhilesh Yadav is in a dilemma and has not yet been able to take any decision regarding the angry leaders.
Therefore, Samajwadi Party patriarch Mulayam Singh Yadav is once again seen active. It is worth mentioning that even between 2012 and 2017, questions were raised about the leadership of Akhilesh Yadav, even then Mulayam Singh Yadav had sidelined Akhilesh’s opponents with his political skills, and during this time Shivpal Yadav, who was considered to be Mulayam’s political heir. Mulayam Singh had also sidelined and strengthened Akhilesh Yadav in the organization.
So at the same time, for the Lok Sabha elections 2019 also, Mulayam Singh Yadav had given his approval for the alliance with BSP. In such a situation, once again Mulayam Singh Yadav has spoken to the workers in the presence of Akhilesh Yadav and has given a clear message that he talks about the poor, farmers, and landless. But the workers should not get disheartened by a defeat and they should prepare for the Lok Sabha elections in 2024.
Mulayam Singh Yadav has again given a message to his party workers that in the Lok Sabha elections in the state, the SP is competing with the BJP. Mulayam Singh Yadav has tried to send a message to the workers by giving a statement that this is not the time to be on this side or that side. Rather, it is about staying organized. At present, political experts are of the opinion that only Mulayam Singh Yadav can end the political war going on within the SP, and only then the road to 2024 will be easy!
