Just in case regular airline food wasn’t disgusting enough, a Turkish flight attendant was left horrified after allegedly discovering a snake head in their in-flight meal. A video detailing the culinary flight-mare is currently causing bouts of retching across social media.
A flight attendant working for a Turkey-based airline was left horrified after allegedly finding a severed snake head in the in-flight meal. A short clip detailing the meal platter with the alleged reptile head has now been shared online.

The shocking incident was reported from a SunExpress flight, that was headed from Ankara to Dusseldorf on July 21, according to flight site One Mile at a Time.
The cabin crew member said they were just starting to have their meal when they spotted a small snake’s head in the potatoes and vegetables.
The clip shared online starts with a shot of the tray and plate that contained the assorted vegetables. But as it zooms in, the snake’s decapitated head is revealed, camouflaged against the herbs and veggies.
“With more than 30 years of experience in the aviation industry, it is our top priority that the services we provide to our guests on our aircraft are of the highest quality and that both our guests and employees have a comfortable and safe flight experience,” the airline said in a statement.
“We would like to inform you that the allegations and shares in the press regarding in-flight food service are absolutely unacceptable and a detailed investigation has been initiated on the subject.”
However, the catering company that supplied the meal has vehemently denied that it could have originated from their facilities.
“We did not use any of the foreign objects that were supposedly in the food when cooking (due to the technical and thermal conditions used in the in-flight catering facilities),” the food supply firm insisted.
Sancak claimed that since its meals are cooked at 280 degrees Celsius (about 536 degrees Fahrenheit), the relatively fresh-looking snake head must have been added after the fact, One Mile At a Time reported.
This isn’t the first alleged food safety violation involving SunExpress, which has received complaints of raw snails and beetles in people’s food, per the aviation outlet.
In a similarly revolting contamination incident last week, a US teen allegedly discovered a half-smoked cigarette in her Burger King chicken fries in the middle of eating them.
