RJD supremo Lalu Yadav and his family are once again in the clutches of the CBI. There are allegations that from 2004 to 2009 when Lalu was the Railway Minister, there was a scam. The CBI has registered a case regarding this. Hence, CBI is conducting raids in connection with a new case related to the alleged ‘land for railway job scam’.
It is coming to the fore that when Lalu Yadav was the Railway Minister in the UPA government, he had given jobs to many of his acquaintances in the Railways. So there are allegations that in return, their families were given land at cheap rates. The CBI suspects that in this case, money was probably not paid for the purchase of land. CBI raids are being conducted at 17 places including Delhi-Bihar.
In this regard, no information has been given by the CBI yet. Lalu Yadav is currently in Delhi. His daughter Misa Bharti is also in Delhi. Whereas, Rabri Devi is in Patna at her residence. In such a situation, the CBI has raided the house of Lalu Yadav’s wife Rabri Devi and Misa Bharti.
A detailed description of the CBI action is awaited. At the same time, RJD spokesperson Alok Mehta has said about the CBI raid that it is an attempt to suppress a powerful voice. This is completely biased. RJD leaders and workers protested the ongoing CBI raids of party chief Lalu Yadav at several places.
However, around 17 places of Lalu Yadav are being raided by the CBI. At the same time, CBI raids are going on at the residence of Rabri Devi in Patna. The Central Bureau of Investigation had registered a case against Lalu and his daughter after an investigation into the matter of taking land and plots from applicants in return for getting jobs.
