A man from Bihar was lynched to death in a dispute over a minor issue at the Garden Galleria Mall bar in Noida, UP, adjacent to Delhi. The police have detained 8 employees of the Lost Lemons Bar of Garden Galleria in this case. The incident took place on Monday night when a group of people was attending an office party at Noida city’s Gardens Galleria Mall, around 40 kilometers from Delhi.
The bouncers were brought when an argument turned into a minor scuffle, which made the matter worse. It all started with a fistfight between the group and the bouncers during which the victim Brajesh Rai received fatal injuries on his head. The victim was immediately rushed to the hospital but unfortunately, the doctors could not save him as he was declared brought dead by the doctors.
The Noida police were then informed and filed a case under section 302( punishment for murder) of the Indian penal code and booked an investigation. The police took eight people into custody after seeing the CCTV footage. The deceased Brijesh Rai used to work in a company named JLN in Noida, which makes batteries for e-rickshaw. He only participated in the party organized by his company.
Rai was a resident of Bihar’s Hasanpura village in Chapra and was residing in Noida since many years. 14 employees of the bar are being interrogated by taken them into custody. Eight people have been identified in the investigation based on the CCTV footage. Noida Additional DCP Ranvijay Singh said that action will be taken against the accused as per law.
