Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath gave directions to the officers in a review meeting organized through a video conference on Monday regarding festivals like Ramzan, Eid, and Akshaya Tritiya. Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath gave directions to the officers in a review meeting organized through a video conference on Monday regarding festivals like Ramzan, Eid, and Akshaya Tritiya.
Yogi instructed the Tehsildar, Deputy District Magistrate (SDM), Circle Officer (CO), and station in-charge to take night rest in the area of their deployment and asked the higher officials to ensure strict compliance with this arrangement. Along with this, the Chief Minister canceled the leave of all police and administrative officers, including the station in-charge, CO, Superintendent of Police, District Magistrate, and Divisional Commissioner, with immediate effect.
According to the official statement issued here, Yogi said that every festival should be held in peace and harmony, for this, all necessary efforts should be made according to the local needs and strictly deal with those issuing mischievous statements. All the harshness should be taken with the chaotic elements trying to spoil the atmosphere. There should be no place for such people in a civilized society.
The Chief Minister said that there are many important religious festivals in the coming days. The month of Ramadan is going on and the festival of Eid and Akshaya Tritiya is likely to be on the same day. In such a situation, in the current environment, the police need to be extra sensitive. He said that from the station in charge to the ADG, within the next 24 hours, make continuous discussions with the religious leaders of their respective areas, other eminent people of the society.
He said that religious programs, worship, etc. should be held at the designated place and it should be ensured that there is no religious event that disrupts the road, or traffic. Yogi said that according to their religious ideology, everyone has the freedom to follow their method of worship. He said that the mic can be used, but it should be ensured that the sound of the mic does not come out of the premises. There should be no inconvenience to other people.
He also made it clear that the installation of mikes should not be allowed in new places. Along with banning any procession, religious procession without due permission, he also made it clear that before giving permission, an affidavit should be taken from the organizer regarding maintaining peace and harmony. Permission should be given to only those religious processions, which are traditional, new events should not be given unnecessary permission.
The Chief Minister directed to deploy additional police force in sensitive areas, monitor every situation using drones, and daily patrol by the police force on foot in the evening. The firing incident in the Gudamba police station area of Lucknow Police Commissionerate recently directed the government to take strict action against the accused and suspend the concerned station in charge.
