A massive fire breaks out in the Bhalswa dump yard site in North Delhi on Tuesday evening. The Delhi Fire Service was informed about the fire break out around 5.47 pm. The fire station rushed to the spot with 10 fire tenders. Efforts are on to douse the flames but it is a massive fire. The whole garbage mountain in Bhalswa is engulfed in a massive blaze right now.
The soaring temperature can be one of the reasons for the fire. The air quality in Delhi prior is not as per the mark and now the fire breakouts every now and then are hampering the air quality more.
This year, three incidents of fire were reported in east Delhi’s Ghazipur landfill site, including the one on 28 March which was finally doused over 50 hours after it broke out. Three more fire incident was reported in the Capital on Tuesday. A fire broke out at the Transport Bhawan on Parliament Street here on Tuesday. The fire started from an air-conditioner in one of the rooms of the building. Another incident reported of fire break out was in Amar Colony’s Lajpat Nagar market where a shop caught fire. A DTC bus also caught fire on Tuesday afternoon in the Vikas Marg area here.
