‘Ma’ the caption reads on the tweet done by CM of UP Yogi Adityanath as he posted a picture of him touching the feet of his mother. This is the first time in 28 years, that CM Yogi is visiting his ancestral village in Uttarakhand. Where he met his mother, touched her feet, and took blessings. As per the sources, it is said that CM Yogi is in his ancestral village to attend a family function, i.e, the hair tonsure ceremony of his nephew to be held today, the 4th of May. The Chief Minister also gifted a shawl to his mother, Savitri Devi in Panchur, his village.

Adityanath is visiting his native village in the Pauri district for the first time after becoming the chief minister of Uttar Pradesh. The reports say that for the first time MR. Adityanath is visiting Uttarakhand in the span of 28 years other than his official engagements. In the midst of the pandemic, he was not been able to attend the funeral of his father in April 2020 in Haridwar. “I had the ardent wish to get a glimpse of my father at the final moment. However, following a sense of duty towards the state’s 23 crore people during the COVID-19 pandemic, I could not do so,” the Chief Minister had said, ruing his inability to attend.
The Chief Minister got emotional while unveiling the statue of his guru spiritual Mahant Avaidyanath at Mahayogi Guru Gorakhnath Government College, Bidhyani, Yamkeshwar in his home district. The Chief Minister will be in Haridwar on Thursday where he will inaugurate several projects. He is also expected to attend a few programs before leaving for Lucknow in the evening.
Much Talked about CM Yogi Adityanath was born in Pauri’s Panchur Village. He did his schooling in Chamkothal, where he studied from std.1 to Std 9th. Chamkothal is close to Yamkeshwar. In his address at the function in Chamkothal arranged at the time of unveiling the statue, he said he felt proud while unveiling the statue of his spiritual guru at the place where he was born but could not visit it after 1940. Adityanath also honoured his school teachers by offering them each a shawl at the function and remembered those who were no more.
