The Jama Masjid of Sangam city Prayagraj has taken a unique initiative following the guidelines issued by CM Yogi Adityanath to reduce the noise of loudspeakers from religious places in UP. Under this, 4 out of the 6 loudspeakers installed in the mosque have been removed, while the volume of the remaining two has also been reduced significantly. Not only this but the direction of the horn of both the remaining loudspeakers have also been changed.
The sound of the speakers in Jama Masjid has been reduced so much that the sound of Azaan does not go far. The Masjid Committee has decided to keep the sound even lower during Fajr i.e. morning prayers. People associated with the mosque committee say that under the instructions of CM Yogi, without waiting for the action of the government staff, they themselves have reduced both the loudspeaker and the voice. According to the people associated with the committee, this decision has been taken so that people should not face any problem.
According to the committee, the guidelines that will be issued in the future also, they will be fully followed. At the same time, according to SP City Dinesh Kumar Singh, a meeting was held with representatives of all religions on the instructions of the government regarding loudspeakers. They were instructed to install loudspeakers and keep the volume only under permission. In this sequence, people are reducing the number of illegally installed loudspeakers themselves in temples and mosques and are also reducing the sound. SP City says that people are being warned that they should remove illegally installed loudspeakers.
