A bus full of 26 soldiers has fallen into the river in Ladakh. In this accident, 7 soldiers have died and many are injured. The soldiers were rescued soon after the accident. They were also admitted to the hospital, but seven soldiers have died and many have suffered serious injuries.
The Air Force has also been contacted to help the seriously injured soldiers. They can be sent to Western Command for treatment. For what reason the army bus slipped from the road and fell into the river, it is not yet clear. An official statement has not been issued by the army regarding this incident. But according to preliminary information, the bus of the soldiers was going from the transit camp towards the forward location of Sub Sector Hanif.
This accident happened about 25 km from Thoise. Where the army bus fell into the Shyok river at a depth of about 50-60 feet. In which all the soldiers of the army were injured. All the jawans were shifted to 403 Field Hospital in Partapur and surgical teams were sent from Leh to Partapur. However, seven of these jawans have been declared dead.
An Army statement said that dedicated efforts were being made to ensure that the best medical care is provided to the injured, including requisition of air effort from the Air Force to shift the more serious casualties to Western Command.
