During the trailer launch of ‘Jug Jugg Jeeyo’, Karan was asked many questions about the South vs Bollywood controversy. Responding to these questions, he said, “There is no competition in Hindi or southern films. I was also one of those presenting the film ‘Bahubali’. So I saw and believed in the power of the film, not the language.
He said that there is no competition between the two films. We want to move forward together.” Before releasing the trailer of ‘Jug Jugg Jio’, Karan had insisted on the word ‘Hindi Movie Trailer’. He said, “RRR, Pushpa, KGF, films did well at the box office. The movies became super hits. The success of these films further enhanced the prestige of Indian cinema. Prashant Neel, Rajamouli Saran further cemented the position of Indian cinema across the globe.”
He also added that ‘Gangubai’ and recently released ‘Bhool Bhulaiyaa 2’ did well at the box office. He also wants Hindi films to do well at the box office.
