Another big news has come to light in the case of violence on the occasion of Hanuman Jayanti in Jahangirpuri, Delhi. Two days after the violence in Delhi’s Jahangirpuri, today i.e. on Monday afternoon, there was stone pelting on the team of the Crime Branch. It is being told that the Crime Branch team of Delhi Police, which went to interrogate a woman in the Jahangirpuri violence case, has been pelted with stones, in which a policeman is injured. However, one stone pelter has been taken into custody.
The news agency has shared a picture of the stone-pelting incident, in which the stone can be seen on the road. However, the statement of the police has also come out on this. The police admitted that the crime branch, which had gone for investigation, faced a light stone pelting today. The police clearly said that it was a minor incident. An accused who pelted stones has also been taken into custody by the Delhi Police. Police said that the situation is now completely under control. The latest incident is from C-Block of Jahangirpuri.
It is being told that the police had gone to take a woman for questioning in connection with Saturday’s clash. That’s when about 50 women from the area started protesting and stone-pelting in Delhi’s Jahangirpuri on Monday. It is being told that the woman who has been detained by the police is the wife of accused Sonu, who had allegedly opened fire during the clash on Saturday. On Monday, stones were pelted at the police team from the roofs of different houses after the woman was taken for police interrogation.
Additional DCP Mayank Bansal said that there was stone pelting again in the area, he did not directly answer it but said, let me see the situation first. The agency said that a large number of Rapid Action Force and police forces have been deployed in the violence-hit Jahangirpuri area.
Significantly, during the procession taken out on the occasion of Hanuman Jayanti in Jahangirpuri, there were incidents of stone-pelting and arson between two communities in which eight police personnel including Lal and a local person were injured.
