A mother monkey who saves her baby with the Heimlich Maneuver…. 💕❤️pic.twitter.com/Hv4C6EAxcv— Figen (@TheFigen) July 25, 2022
The video shows the monkey performing abdominal thrusts so that whatever is stuck in the windpipe and choking the baby can easily come out due to the pressure. Also, if you watch the clip closely, the element stuck in the windpipe of baby does come out after the procedure was performed. The viral video took everyone by surprise. People can’t stop talking about the fact that the animal is so intelligent.
Performing a Heimlich maneuver isn’t as easy as the monkey made it look. The helper stands behind the patient and uses his or her hands to exert pressure on the bottom of the diaphragm. The objective of the act is to compress the lungs and exert pressure on the foreign object lodged in the trachea, which will eventually push it out of the system. While humans struggle in pulling off a Heimlich Manoeuvre successfully, the monkey nailed it and hence was able to save its baby.
