The deceased include Raj Kumar Yadav (55), his wife Kusum (50), daughter Manisha (25), daughter-in-law Savita (27), and granddaughter Meenakshi (2). At the same time, the police have found the granddaughter Sakshi (5) alive, who is in a lot of panic. A 5-year-old girl, who was also injured in the attack, has been admitted to the hospital. The killers also tried to set the house on fire to destroy evidence at the scene. The same police have formed seven teams to unearth the murderer. District Magistrate Prayagraj Sanjay Khatri and SSP Prayagraj Ajay Kumar have also reached the site of the case. A team of the sniffer dog and forensic experts have also reached the spot to investigate the incident.
According to the information received from the villagers, all the deceased were sleeping in their house. Authorities were alerted after smoke was seen rising from inside the house, which was extinguished by the police and fire brigade. However, the cause of the incident could not be ascertained yet. SSP Ajay Kumar told that there was a fire in the bedroom.
