Mukhtar Ansari’s son Abbas Ansari has got a big relief from the Allahabad High Court for making a controversial statement in the election public meeting, the court has currently stayed his arrest in this case. Abbas Ansari, son of mafia Mukhtar Ansari, has got immediate relief in the case of threatening officials from the election meeting. The Allahabad High Court has stayed the arrest of Abbas Ansari, son of Don Mukhtar Ansari, under the FIR lodged in Kotwali Nagar Mau for making provocative and objectionable statements during the assembly elections.
The High Court has sought a response from the State Government on the petition. Justice Sunita Agrawal and Justice V.K. Srivastava’s division bench have given on the petition of Abbas Ansari. The petitioner says that an FIR has been lodged for threatening to teach a lesson to the officials if they come to power in the election meeting on March 3. The case was registered on March 4. The petitioner has said that the punishment given cannot be more than seven years. Section 153-A Cognizable offenses have been added intentionally. It was said that on the instructions of the Election Commission, FIR should be registered.
Sunita Agarwal bench of Allahabad High Court has given time till April 27 to the UP government and the Election Commission to file an affidavit in this matter. The High Court has asked the UP government and the Election Commission to file counter-affidavits. The lawyers involved in this case said that this is not a criminal act and that the police are unnecessarily troubling it. The Election Commission took action in this matter and imposed a 24-hour ban on Abbas Ansari from campaigning.
