The spark of loudspeaker emanating from Maharashtra is not stopping. Of course, the Yogi government in Uttar Pradesh seems to be tough on loudspeakers. But, on the one hand, on the instructions of the High Court in Uttar Pradesh, the work of removing illegal loudspeakers from religious places is going on. So in the meantime, now an attempt has been made to raise this issue in the Badaun district of UP. Badaun’s Noori Masjid petitioned to the High Court that – ‘Permission should be given to install loudspeakers under a fundamental right’.
But the result again proved to be a cipher and it happened that the Allahabad High Court has said that it is not a fundamental right of anyone to give azaan by putting loudspeakers in the mosque. The court has dismissed the petition against the order, not to allow giving azaan by installing loudspeakers in Noori Masjid of Dhoranpur village in Bisauli tehsil of Badaun.
Actually, a case was filed in Allahabad High Court on behalf of Noori Masjid of Badaun district. But, the Allahabad High Court has termed it unconstitutional in strong words. After this decision of the court, it has been welcomed by the saints of Ayodhya and some political parties as well. Congress has said on this that public sentiments should also be taken care of.
According to Congress spokesperson Anshu Awasthi, there is a provision in the Constitution of India for everyone to follow their religion. It is not right to comment on the court’s order but we have to maintain cordial relations. At the same time, listen to what Mahant Rajudas of Ayodhya, Hanumangarhi has to say.
Let us inform you that till now 64,128 illegal loudspeakers have been removed across the state, while the sound of 57,352 loudspeakers has been reduced as per the standard.
