On Thursday, the Civil Court of Varanasi gave its verdict regarding the Gyanvapi Masjid and Shringar Gauri case. In this case, after hearing each and every fact carefully for three days, the Civil Judge Senior Division gave the decision of the court. The court has said in its decision that the court commissioner will not be removed in the case related to the video survey of the Gyanvapi mosque located adjacent to the Kashi Vishwanath temple. Along with this, the court has appointed another assistant commissioner. Hearing a plea filed by the Gyanvapi mosque management committee (Anjuman Intezamiya Masjid) seeking the removal of Ajay Kumar Mishra as the commissioner for the survey, the court said two assistant commissioners will help him in the process. The court categorically stated the entire Gyanvapi mosque will be surveyed and sought the report in this regard by May 17.
The court of Civil Judge (Senior Division) Ravi Kumar Diwakar had earlier heard the arguments of both sides. Shivam Gaur, the lawyer representing the Hindu side. Gaur claimed the matter of videography by going inside the barricading was also included in the court order delivered on April 26.
The court said that the court commissioner should submit his report on May 17. According to the information received, the court has ordered the survey from 9 am to 12 noon. The court has said that by May 17, the survey should be completed with the help of the state government and local administration. The court has said that even if one of the two court commissioners remains absent during the survey proceedings, action will be taken. The court has ordered the registration of an FIR against those who try to obstruct the survey work. Apart from this, it has been said that even if the key to the gate is not found, then the lock can be broken.
Earlier on Wednesday, May 11, the hearing was completed in the Civil Court of Varanasi. After which the court, while reserving its decision, had said to deliver the verdict after 12 noon on Thursday. In such a situation, on Thursday, the court has given its decision. Let us tell you that on Wednesday, both the sides gave their respective arguments in the court. Along with this, the court commissioner also presented his side. The plaintiff’s side has requested the court for a clear order to go inside the barricading, as well as not to favor the court commissioner. On the other hand, the Muslim side is standing on its application.
The court has directed the state government to supervise the survey proceedings so that no officer makes an excuse to postpone the commission proceedings. Under no circumstances shall the proceedings of the Commission be stayed, whether with the parties cooperates or not.
In fact, 5 women had filed a petition seeking the right to daily worship of Shringar Gauri. The court had ordered a survey of Gyanvapi after the hearing in this case. Also, Advocate Commissioner was appointed. But during the survey, there was a ruckus in the Gyanvapi mosque. After that, the survey could not be done. After this, a petition was filed on behalf of the Anjuman Intazamia Masajid Committee demanding the removal of Advocate Commissioner Ajay Kumar Mishra. After 3 days of debate on this, Varanasi Civil Judge Senior Division Ravi Kumar Diwakar had reserved the decision on 11 May.
