The court complex was converted into a cantonment amid tight security. The ATS took Ahmed Murtaza Abbasi to the court of ACJM I at 10.45 am. Here he remained in the court till 11.55 am. During this, Murtaza remained in the court for one hour and 10 minutes. After hearing the arguments and arguments of ATS, the court of ACJM I has extended the section of the UAPA Act on him.
Apart from this, the court sent the accused Ahmed Murtaza Abbasi to 14 days of judicial custody, ordering him to be produced in the special court of NIA / ATS. During this, the judge neither asked any questions to Murtaza nor did he say anything. He kept quietly watching the ATS’s argument and the court’s action. Senior advocate PK Dubey of the Civil Court of Gorakhpur told that now he has been sent to judicial custody for 14 days. However, the court has ordered to produce him in the special court of NIA / ATS. In such a situation, his next hearing will be in Lucknow. Ahmed Murtaza Abbasi’s troubles have increased due to the increase in the section of UAPA. After increasing the section of the Unlawful Activities Prevention Act, now the screws of NIA and ATS can tighten more on the accused Murtaza. Before this, two cases have been registered against him in Gorakhnath police station under sections 186, 153A, 307, 332, 333, 353, and 394 of IPC. After sending him to Gorakhpur jail and completing formalities, ATS will take him to Lucknow.
