She chose to give birth to a child amidst the waves of the sea. We have heard of giving birth in water for the less labour pain feel but those were small pools in the clinics and this brave lady chose the natural waves for giving birth without any doctor’s presence. The woman also shared a video of her delivery. After watching this video, the users were surprised. The baby boy is named Bodhi!
Josy explained why she wanted her baby to be born without medical intervention. “I wanted to be worry-free for once. My first birth was traumatic in a clinic and my second birth was a home birth but by the third even a midwife in my home was too much. This time I had no doctors’ appointments or scans or outside influence,” she said.
The woman has named her delivery ‘Free Birth’. According to the information received, the 37-year-old woman’s name is Josy Peukert and she is from Nicaragua. She gave birth to a baby boy amidst the water waves in the Pacific Ocean. Josie uploaded the video on Instagram in February, but now it is fast going viral on social media. Josie is already the mother of four children. She is seen with her husband Benni Cornelius who helped her during delivery. They used only common things like towels and bowls to keep the umbilical cord. No modern equipment or technology was used in the delivery. According to a report, during pregnancy Josie gave birth to her baby without medical help for the so-called ‘free birth’. In the video, at the time of delivery, Josie can be seen groaning in pain amidst the waves. In this regard, Josie says that the waves that were hitting her on the back were making her feel comfortable during childbirth.
The mom said, “Bodhi was born in the midday sun when it was about 35 degrees, we weren’t worried at all that he’d be cold and I had no concerns about waterborne infections. He is perfectly healthy. I did all the research I needed to to make sure it was safe.”
