Lalu Yadav has gotten a big relief from Jharkhand High Court. Lalu Prasad Yadav has got bail in the Doranda Treasury case related to the fodder scam. The hearing was held in the court in the presence of Justice Aparesh Singh in Jharkhand High Court today. In which all the arguments took place and finally Lalu Yadav has been granted bail on a surety of ten lakh rupees. However, in the meantime, Lalu Yadav’s ill health was also cited.
In fact, on February 23, Lalu Yadav was sentenced to five years of imprisonment by a special CBI court in the case of illegal withdrawal from the Doranda treasury related to the fodder scam. At the same time, a fine of Rs 60 lakh was also imposed. RJD leader Lalu Prasad Yadav was sentenced to 5 years imprisonment and fined by the CBI court in Ranchi in the fifth fodder scam case.
Special CBI Judge SK Shashi in Ranchi announced the sentence through video conferencing. Because even then Lalu Yadav was admitted to the paying ward of RIMS Hospital. But against this sentence, Lalu Yadav filed a bail petition in the High Court. After the punishment of Lalu Yadav for the illegal withdrawal of Rs 135 crore in the Doranda treasury case, he has got a big relief.
What is the whole matter?
The whole matter is related to the illegal withdrawal of Rs 139 crore. Illegal withdrawals from Doranda Treasury took place between 1990-91 and 1995-96. In which 99 people including Lalu Prasad Yadav were accused. It is alleged that money was withdrawn from here in the name of the purchase of fodder, medicine, and equipment in the Animal-Agriculture Department. The hearing in this matter has taken place today. Prior to this, Lalu Prasad Yadav was sentenced to a total of 27 and a half years in four fodder scam cases, while he also had to pay a fine of one crore rupees.
