Akshay Kumar’s Samrat Prithviraj will hit the theaters on June 3. Ahead of the film’s release, Akshay Kumar arranged a special screening for Home Minister Amit Shah, who praised the film. Now, Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath has seen the film and declared it tax-free in the state. Akshay and Manushi Chillar held a special screening of the film in Lucknow.
UP Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath, along with his entire cabinet colleagues, saw the film Samrat Prithviraj on Thursday. A special screening of this film was held at Lok Bhawan in Lucknow, where the entire cabinet saw the film. After watching the film, CM Yogi Adityanath announced to make the tracks free in this state. Home Minister Amit Shah also heaped lavish praise on the cast and crew of the period drama after watching the movie. He said that as a student of history, he not only enjoyed watching the film which depicted India’s cultural wars but also got seeped in its significance on Indians.
Samrat Prithviraj starring Akshay Kumar is based on the life of the fearless king Prithviraj Chauhan. The superstar will play the role of the great warrior who fought courageously against Muhammad of Ghor. Manushi Chhillar plays the role of Sanyogita, the girlfriend of King Prithviraj Chauhan. The film also stars Sanjay Dutt and Sonu Sood. Samrat Prithviraj is slated to release on June 3 in Hindi, Tamil, and Telugu.
UP CM Yogi Adityanath was very impressed by Akshay’s emperor Prithviraj. He appreciated the film and congratulated the director and the cast for showcasing the rich culture of India. UP CM Yogi Adityanath said, “Akshay Kumar has beautifully depicted the history of India in his film. So I congratulate the team.”
Amit Shah also said that the film truly depicted the Indian culture of respecting women and empowering them. The film made a very strong statement about the political power and freedom of choice that women enjoyed in the medieval ages. At the end of his speech, Amit Shah began walking towards the exit but his wife Sonal remained standing where she was, unsure of where she was supposed to go. And then, in his characteristic booming voice, he said, “Chaliye Hukum”, similar to how the characters in the film addressed each other. Sonal blushed when there was a roar of laughter in the audience.
