Akshay Kumar came under the target of people for advertising Pan Masala with Ajay Devgn and Shah Rukh Khan. Fans of the actor also expressed their displeasure, after which the actor has now apologized for advertising the tobacco brand. After coming under the target of critics, Akshay Kumar has issued an apology on social media and apologized for adding pan masala.
Akshay Kumar has often been found saying that he does not take any kind of intoxicant. He neither drinks alcohol, cigarette nor any other intoxicant. Akshay often advises fans to live a healthy life. In such a situation, he apologized to his fans, he has withdrawn his hands from the ad for pan masala. In his post, he told that he is no longer the brand ambassador of this advertisement.
In his post, Akshay Kumar wrote- ‘I’m sorry. I want to apologize to all of you, my well-wishers, and fans. Your responses in the last few days have impressed me a lot. However, I have never and will never promote tobacco. Whatever your reactions to association with Vimal Elaichi, I respect your sentiments. That’s why I respect him with all humility.
Akshay Kumar further wrote- ‘I have decided that I will use the fees received from the advertisement for a good cause. Maybe, the brand will keep it on air for some time due to legal reasons. Until the legal period of the contract is over, the ad will be on air. But, I promise that in the future I will be careful about my decisions.
