MNA and famous television show host Aamir Liaquat Husain has passed away in Karachi, DIG East Muquddas Haider told. Aamir Liaquat’s age was only 49 years. He was born in 1972 in Karachi. Aamir Liaquat had three marriages. Pakistani MP Amir Liaquat died in Karachi. Geo TV has given this news quoting his servant. He was found dead in his apartment in Karachi. It is suspected that he died of cardiac arrest. Aamir Liaquat had recently come into the discussion about divorce from second wife and third marriage.
He married his second wife Tauba Anwar in 2018. After divorce from her, he married 31 years younger Daniya Shah in the year 2022 itself. However, only a few days after the marriage, 18-year-old Dania had sought a divorce from him.
The police officer said Husain’s condition deteriorated early in the morning after which he was moved to the Aga Khan University Hospital, where he was later declared dead. He added that initial reports show no foul play; however, the post-mortem examination of the politician will be conducted at the Jinnah Postgraduate Medical Centre. Meanwhile, National Assembly Speaker Raja Pervaiz Ashraf adjourned the session, which started earlier today, till 5 pm on Friday after receiving news of the MNA’s death.
Liaquat is survived by two children and was married thrice. Hussain stepped into politics with the Muttahida Qaumi Movement and was elected as an MP of Pakistan for the first time in 2002. In 2004, he was appointed as the minister of state for religious affairs and Zakat and Ushar Division in September 2004 by the erstwhile Prime Minister, Shaukat Aziz. Apart from being a politician, Hussain was also a columnist, television host, and comedian.
Police have started an investigation into the death of Amir Liaquat. Police have searched Aamir’s house in Karachi. SSP East said that the police will also examine the CCTV footage. Officials say that since Amir Liaquat died under mysterious circumstances, a post-mortem will also be done. East SSP said the police found everything in order at Aamir Liaquat’s house. But the police have sealed his bedroom after collecting the evidence. Post-mortem of Aamir’s body will be done after the permission of the family and Only after that, the cause of death will be confirmed. Apart from this, the police will also record the statement of the driver of Amir Liaquat. It was the driver who informed the police about Aamir’s death.
