“Old is Gold”, has always proven right! We are moving back to our roots now. We are going back to what our great grandparents or grandparents were doing. We are adapting their eating habits, lifestyle, and working habits, and now comes the childhood scooter ride. The retros are back!
Keeway, a Hungarian two-wheeler manufacturer, recently entered the Indian market with the lunch of three new products namely– K-Light 250V, Vieste 300, and Sixties 300i. Among the three new scooters of Keeway, the Sixties 300i can be an aid to be the most expensive retro scooter in India as it comes with a starting price of Rs 2.99 lakhs and goes up to Rs 3.20 Lakhs (ex-showroom). Customers can book a Sixties 300i by paying Rs 10,000. It costs more than the existing retro-designed scooter Vespa SXL 150 but it belongs to a different segment altogether.
The distinguishing factor between the two Keeway scooters is the design. The Vieste 300 is a true maxi-scooter, the Sixties 300i adorns a retro design that claimed to mimic the scooters made in the 60s with a modern touch. The design of the Keeway Sixties 300i looks very retro with a basic looking LED headlamp with a turn indicator mounted on the apron. From the side, we can see that the design of the seat looks very similar to the old scooters. There are a lot of chrome highlights used to give a premium look. Moreover, if you get the Matte Blue paint job then the tyres look like they have a white wall finish. The scooter is also being offered in Matte Black and Matte White.
The grooviest decade had the grooviest amenities. An homage to the decade of flared pants, rock music, splashes of color, and distinct individualistic style, the SIXTIES 300i encourages the rider to break free of the ordinary. The spirit of the 1960s channeled onto the road. Retaining the charm of the classic while embellishing it with modern touches, ensuring you have the best of retro design and modern technology in one package. A throwback ride for the modern trendsetter. Come let’s revisit the past!
